Dopey Training -Week 13

Less than three months to go before the start of the Dopey Challenge!  I can't believe how fast the time is moving!  This last week was definitely a challenge.  Getting in training runs while traveling is difficult, especially when you're in the most magical place on earth.  That's okay though, my body needed a break and I'm back to it this week.

Monday -travel day, so a rest day.

Tuesday -3.5 miles

Wednesday -6.2 miles

Thursday -6.3 miles

Friday -6.5 miles

Saturday -7.3 miles

Sunday -11 miles

Total Weekly Mileage: 40.8 Miles

This week I have a 17 miler on the calendar.  Hopefully this one will go better than the last one!

    1. I definitely love my running routes and routines, but vacation gives me a chance to switch it up a bit!

RunDisney's Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2017 -The Basics

Hello my fellow wine and diners.  It's wine and dine week!  Why does it feel like the days until Disney click off relatively quickly until you're about two weeks out?  Then the days feel like molasses.  I'm so ready to be back in my happy place with my family for another fun race weekend! Nicole and I after the Wine and Dine races last year Recently runDisney released their Wine and Dine event guide and there is a lot of information in there.  It can be difficult to find what you need.  Here's a breakdown of the basics for the expo and each race to help! Make sure you check out the event guide for your special offers and virtual goodie bag. The Wine and Dine Half Marathon kicks off on Thursday, November 2 with the Health and Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports.  The expo is open on Thursday from 10:00AM-7:00PM.  Busses will run to the expo from your on-site host resort from 9:30AM-6:30PM.  These are special runDisney busses that are contracted by Mears.

Tuesdays on the Run: 2017 Bling

Today I'm linking up with  Patti ,  Erika , and  Marcia for Tuesdays on the Run!  It's all about the bling today.  2017 brought a lot of new races and some pretty sweet blingy medals: Winter Warrior Half Marathon -This half was the first weekend in January and boy was it brutal.  It was 19 degrees when the race started at 4:30PM and it only got colder and snowed more as we took four 3.3 mile laps around an office park.  BRRR Syracuse Half Marathon - This one was also cold, but not snowy and with a great course.  In fact, the Syracuse Half was run twice this year as after the race in March, the organizers moved it to November as a fall event.  This course was hilly but had a mile and a half of downhills, which was absolutely amazing! Flower City Half Marathon - This gem in Rochester in April is one of my favorites.  It's a hilly and challenging course that runs through my favorite parts of the city, including a block from where Nicole and I used to live.  It&#

Date Based Ticketing Coming to Walt Disney World

In a move that had been highly rumored for months, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida introduced date based ticketing today.  Here's what we know: What is Date Based Ticketing?  -Instead of paying one set price to enter any of Walt Disney World's four theme parks, your price will vary depending on when you go.  Busier times of year (think school breaks and the holidays) are more popular times of the year to go to WDW, so those tickets will be more expensive.  If you travel during a less crowded time of year, those tickets will be less expensive.  This is a system that has been in place at Disneyland Resort in California for single-day tickets for some time now. Disneyland Resort already has date-based ticketing What about Multi-Day Tickets? - The date based ticketing will also apply to multi-day tickets.  So your three day park hopper ticket will vary in price depending on the time of year you travel.  You must also select the time-frame in which you plan to use your t
