Dopey Training -Week 11 Recap

Another week come and gone...another week of Dopey Challenge training in the books.  This week had my longest run to-date on this training cycle as well as a new personal best in the 5K.  Here's how it went:

Monday: 5.1 miles

Tuesday: 7.3 miles

Wednesday: 10.4 miles

Thursday: 16.2 miles

Friday: 2.3 miles

Saturday -Oktoberfest 5K

Sunday -9.2 miles

Total Weekly Mileage: 53.6 miles

I'll give a recap of yesterday's 5K later on this week, but I'm super excited about my performance and I can't wait to share it with you!

Dopey Challenge Complete

It's hard to believe that two weeks ago I was well on my way to completing the 2018 RunDisney Dopey Challenge! While I'll have recaps for the whole week that I was in Walt Disney World running the Dopey Challenge, but for now, here are some highlights!

What was your favorite part of Marathon Weekend?

Best Rides in each Walt Disney World park

How do you even pick a "best" ride in each of the Walt Disney World parks? How do you compare a classic attraction like Peter Pan's Flight to something state of the art like Flight of Passage?  One has classic Disney storytelling and has been beloved by park guests for years while the other uses cutting edge technology along with storytelling, music, and even smells to create an immersive experience.  In order to pick the best ride in each park, I needed to develop some criteria.
1) Overall Ride Experience -This is perhaps the most important evaluation tool of all. A great ride experience should have you leaving the attraction with a smile on your face, eager to do it again.
2) Technical Aspects of the ride -Does the ride contain technical innovations?  Or classic technical skills used to great effect?
3) Ride-ability -Can everyone experience this attraction?  What is the height requirement?  What is the motion sickness factor? 
4) Ride Story -One area where Walt Disney …
